I. Project Background
With the rapid growth of national economy and the rapid development of power grid construction in various regions, it is particularly difficult to select the power route in mountainous areas. Traditional manual operation is difficult, and aerial photogrammetry usually can not get an accurate ground model neither.
II. Survey Area Overview
The survey area is located in the mountainous area and belongs to the mid latitude subtropical climate. There is no severe cold in winter and no intense heat in summer, showing the zonality of vertical climate and the particularity of local climate. The average altitude is 600 meters, the highest altitude is 850 meters and the lowest altitude is 220 meters. Due to the drop, it has a great impact on the selection of aircraft takeoff and landing points.
III. Solution
The survey area covers a total area of 2.4 square kilometers, with a banded area and dense vegetation. Three takeoff and landing points and three sorties were selected to complete the operation.

V. Project Summary
Through the UAV equipped with airborne LiDAR to adapt to the mountain environment, it can operate in the complex area with high altitude and high drop. Using airborne LiDAR technology, it can not only obtain the ground three-dimensional spatial information quickly and accurately, but also obtain high-resolution optical images to realize the complete extraction of terrain information. It is the best solution for terrain mapping and resource exploration.
VI. Comments
The project has excellent performance in topographic survey, and the equipment has the advantages of all-weather and fast speed. It has effectively solved the problems of difficult mountain survey and difficult access for personnel, and achieved good results.
